SPUP is ranked in Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2023. Announced on June 1, 2023, SPUP joined 28 other Philippines Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the ranking circle.

THE Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess the endeavors of world universities along their implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It uses carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparison across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching.

In its second year to participate in the said international ranking, SPUP advanced remarkable performances in three of its 11 SDG entries: SDG 3 (Health and Wellbeing), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals) is included as a mandatory entry for all participating institutions.

For SDG 4, SPUP is rank 201-300 (out of 1304 institutions), rank 601-800 (out of 1218 institutions) for SDG 3, rank 801 (out of 856 institutions) for SDG 16, and rank 801-1000 (out of 1625 institutions) for SDG 17. Consequently, SPUP is ranked first among the Universities in the Philippines and along rank 201-300 in the world on Quality Education (SDG 4). It affirms SPUP’s contribution to early years and lifelong learning, pedagogy, research, and commitment to inclusive education.

SPUP is the first Higher Education Institution (HEI) in the Cagayan Valley region to be included in the THE Impact Rankings since 2022. This year, SPUP is ranked 1001+ out of the 1705 institutions from 115 countries/regions in the world.
