January 25, 2021 – With the launching activities of St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) for its 115th Anniversary celebration, the University also held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Training Hall of its Community Development Center (CDC) in Barangay Estefania, Amulung, Cagayan.

The Rite of blessing was presided by Rev. Fr. Macario Malano, Jr., (Parish Priest, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, Amulung) and was witnessed by SPUP Administrators, Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies), Dr. Juana Rivera (Director, Human Resource) Dr. Teresita Lasam (Director, Student Affairs and Services), Mr. Moises Calucag  (Head, Campus Ministry) and Mrs. Jessievic Pico (Head, Religious Education), and representatives from the School of Business, Accountancy and Hospitality Management (SBAHM), Guidance Center, Alumni, and CDC Staff.

With support from the AGFund, through the Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development, the SPUP Training Center will serve as venue for agriculture and food production   trainings and skills development for women and farmer groups through the “Capacity Building and Sustainable Food Production for Women and Small-Scale Farmers” Project for SPUP’s partner-communities in the municipalities of Amulung, Tuguegarao, Solana, and Enrile in Cagayan.
