The Paulinian, the official College student publication of St. Paul University Philippines, was hailed as the 2nd overall Best Magazine in Region 2. This was declared at the Regional Higher Education Press Conference on December 5-7, 2018 at PLT Resort, Bascaran, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. Meanwhile, The Paulinian Journalists secured winning spots in the regional tilt, and produced 2 qualifiers for the Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) which will be held in San Fernando Pampanga.

The Paulinian won 1st place, Feature Page; 1st place, Sports Page; 2nd place, Opinion Page; 2nd place, News Page; 2nd place, Literary Page; 2nd place, Cover Design; 2nd place, Page Layout; and 3rd place, DevCom Page. The Magazine was adjudged 2nd overall best magazine; while, The KATSA (Literary Folio) was 5th overall best Literary Folio in the Region.

For the campus journalists, Allaine Jonel Azada clinched 3 spots: 3rd place in News Writing English; 3rd in Editorial Writing English; and 6th place in Poetry Writing English. Also, among the 300 participants Azada was ranked 6th overall Individual Highest Pointer and a qualifier for the Luzonwide Press Conference. Likewise, Irishe Gold Suyu secured 3 spots: 4th place in DevCom Writing English; 4th place in Column Writing English; and 5th place in Copyreading and Headline Weiting English. Also, Suyu gained the 9th overall Individual Highest Pointer and a qualifier for the Luzonwide Press Conference.

Placing 7th in Photo Journalism English and 9th in News Writing Filipino was Francis Elijah Malabad. Also, Elysse Justine Joaquin placed 7th in Photo Journalism Filipino and Mardilyn Garcia 7th place in Feature Writing English.
