

TOURISM, HOSPITALITY STUDENTS EXCEL IN INTER-SCHOOL SKILLS COMPETITION

The Tourism and Hospitality Management students of St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) have once again proven their excellence by securing top awards in various skills competitions during the first Provincial Inter-school skills Olympics organized by the Provincial Tourism Office of Cagayan. Participated in by different Colleges and Universities in the province, the contest was held last February 6-7, 2025 at the Peoples’ Gymnasium, in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Demonstrating their expertise in different areas of the industry, SPUP students showcased their skills, creativity, and professionalism in the different competing events such as table set-up, market basket, virtual tour guiding, flight attendant showmanship, quiz bee, travel vlogging, travel writing, bartending, tour package proposal and tourism ambassador and ambassadress.
With their exceptional performance, they emerged as Champions in virtual tour guiding, market basket competition, travel feature writing, 3-in-1 table set-up competition, hospitality and tourism quiz bee. Meanwhile, Ms. Jermaine Kaye Abrogena was crowned first runner-up and Mr. Tristan Lucero as fourth runner-up in the Search for Cagayan’s Mr. and Ms. Tourism Ambassador.
The victories in these competitions not only highlight the students’ talents and hard work but also reflect the dedication of their mentors and institutions in providing high-quality education and training.
