St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) has earned a prestigious Excellence Award at the Genyo e-Learning Innovation Summit held on January 17, 2025. This distinguished recognition, presented by Diwa Learning Systems, Inc., highlights SPUP’s innovative and successful implementation of e-learning program by enhancing student engagement and leveraging technology towards improved educational outcomes. The award was received by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President).
The summit also served as a platform for fostering learning and collaboration, featuring relevant discussions around the theme: “Reimagine Education through Global Insights and Best Practices.” Esteemed speakers shared their expertise on a variety of relevant topics. Dr. Frances Edwards, (Senior Lecturer from the University of Waikato) captivated attendees with her presentation on “Global Trends: Understanding AI and Its Impact on Education.” In her talk, she illustrated how schools in New Zealand have successfully integrated artificial intelligence to enhance students’ learning experiences and outcomes.
Ms. Lyqa Maravilla, (Educational Content Creator) addressed the audience with her engaging session titled “Reaching Across Generations: Engaging Multigenerational Learners.” She provided invaluable strategies for actively engaging learners of all ages, ensuring that educational practices resonate with diverse demographics.
Additionally, Prof. Vicente Antonio Pijano III (Chancellor and COO of PWC-Davao), delivered an informative talk on “Crafting an Acceptable Use Policy for AI.” He offered essential insights and best practices for creating institutional guidelines that promote ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence in education.
Held at Conrad Manila, to recognize Diwa’s Genyo partner-schools, the summit brought together school administrators, educators, and e-learning advocates from across the Philippines, all united by a shared vision of transforming education through innovative technologies and practices.
