Dr. Jesus Pizarro (Head, Quality Assurance for PQA and Institutional Evaluation) earned the 2nd place in the 3rd Cagayan Valley CMCI Creative Research Conference on December 6, 2024 at the NGN Gran Hotel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. He presented his research paper titled: “Exploring the Nexus Between Environmental Sustainability Practices and Economic Performance in Local Government Units in Cagayan Valley Region: An Analysis using CMCI Data.” Prior to the announcement, Dr. Pizarro’s research was selected as one of the seven finalists and subjected to thorough review based on content, organization and relevance.
The conference aimed to foster inclusive, creative, and adaptive local policies that boost regional competitiveness and emphasized future development of local industrial, innovation, and creative hubs in the Cagayan Valley region. Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the assembly was guided by the theme, “Trailblazing Innovative and Competitive LGUs through Creative Research.”
