September 14-19, 2023 – Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) joined the delegation of Tuguegarao City, led by Mayor Maila Ting-Que in the 2023 China-ASEAN Expo held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. This year, Tuguegarao City is featured as the “City of Charm” of the Philippines in and was showcased as a “Smart, Green and Livable City,” where business opportunities foster economic growth, jobs generation and livelihood prospects.
Along with the aim to promote business and investment in the city, Mayor Ting-Que also exhibited Tuguegarao City as an educational tourism hub by highlighting the top performing higher educational institutions in the city and in the province. The exposition also included meeting with dignitaries of the Philippines and Chinese governments, cultural immersion and performances, institutional visits, company benchmarking, and product exhibitions.
The 2023 China-ASEAN Expo paved for the signing of a Cooperative Framework of Agreement between SPUP and Liaoning Normal University (Haihua College) on September 19, 2023.
