Dr. Allan Paulo Blaquera, RN, (Coordinator, SNAHS Research and Curriculum Development ), presented his study, “Development of a Nurse-Coordinated Home-Based Stroke Rehabilitation in the Philippines,” at the 28th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) in Seoul, South Korea. The conference, held on February 13-14, 2025, revolved around the theme: “Transformative Care Initiatives on the Consilience of Technology and Humanity.”
Representing St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP), Dr. Blaquera joined nearly 2,200 participants from 21 countries in this prestigious academic gathering. Since its inception in 1997, EAFONS has served as a premier platform for sharing groundbreaking research and technological advancements in nursing. This year’s forum also coincided with the 15th International Nursing Conference.
Researchers, nursing educators, and students from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Mongolia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, the UAE, the USA, the UK, and more presented studies aimed at strengthening nursing education and fostering international collaboration. The event provided a vital academic and social environment for East Asian scholars to engage in knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary cooperation.
