NURSING INSTRUCTORS UNDERGO HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN TAIWAN

Two instructors from SPUP’s College of Nursing took part in the “TMUN Advanced Healthcare Professional Training Program” held at Taipei Medical University (TMU) from July 8-19, 2024. Ms. Genalin Taguiam, MSN (Program Coordinator, Nursing) and Ms. Micah Angela Aquino, RN (Faculty Member, College of Nursing) participated in the training together with other 27 healthcare professionals from the Philippines.
The program, led by TMU’s College of Nursing, featured a variety of instructional sessions and interactive exercises. It led the participants to engage on the use of cutting-edge technologies, to explore health-based research data, and to discover the latest advancements in healthcare system. Key topics included aging, disaster preparedness, sleep management, comfort care, and the use of artificial intelligence in senior care.
At the end of the program, the attendees were provided with an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in critical areas to foster improved healthcare practices in their home country.
