St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) students showcased their filmmaking prowess in the Cinemagic Tuguegarao – A Student Film Festival, securing Best Film (3rd Place) for their entry, “Nabalin Ngana”. The event, held on February 28, 2025, at Robinsons Mall, Tuguegarao City, featured 10 official entries under the theme “Kabataang Tuguegarao: Sulo ng Sining at Damdamin.”
Mikaela Taguiam (BSSW 3) was recognized as Best Supporting Actress, showcasing outstanding performance. The film also received nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Musical Scoring, further affirming its strong storytelling and technical quality.
The film screening and awarding ceremony celebrated the talent of young filmmakers, with SPUP once again demonstrating its commitment to artistic excellence. Through compelling storytelling and creative execution, the Paulinian community continues to make its mark in the field of media and the arts.
This recognition adds to SPUP’s growing list of achievements, underscoring the university’s dedication to fostering creativity and innovation among its students.
