The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized SPUP as one of the 2024 Internationalization Champion of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) awardees. The award is in acknowledgement of SPUP’s enduring commitment towards internationalization of Philippine higher education and its exemplary performance in the globally-recognized rankings and ratings.
SPUP is commended as one of the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country recognized by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (Rank 1001-1500) and the World University Rankings for Innovation (Rank 78). Representing SPUP, the award was received by Dr. Jeremy Godofredo Morales (Director, Internationalization).
Dr. Prospero De Vera (Chair, CHED) and the CHED-International Affairs Services (IAS) led the awarding ceremonies on December 16, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.
