St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) secured approval from the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) on October 21, 2026, establishing the SPUP Think–Innovate–Build for One Community (TIBOC) Hub. The grant establishes SPUP as the first institution in Northern Luzon designated as a DOST-PCHRD HeaRTnovation Hub.
Implemented through the Office of Institutional Innovations, the SPUP TIBOC Hub is designed to accelerate the translation of health research into practical, community-centered technologies. The facility serves as a regional engine for research-driven innovation, bridging scientific discoveries with real-world healthcare solutions.
Beyond functioning as a physical infrastructure, the hub connects researchers, faculty, students, healthcare professionals, industry partners, and government agencies. The collaborative network will focus on developing accessible and sustainable technologies to improve healthcare delivery and public health outcomes across Northern Luzon.
