St. Paul University Philippines gathered its Media Partners for a Press Conference on December 10, 2019. Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) led the welcoming of the members of SPUP’s Media Partners. Held at the SPUP Boardroom, the program served as a Christmas Thanksgiving of the University for its Media Partners.

In attendance were SPUP administrators, and SPC Sisters. From the media were Mrs. Purita Licas and Ms. Gene Baquiran (Philippine Information Agency), Ms. Maricris Montilla and Mr. Marvin Cangcang (Bombo Radyo – Tuguegarao), Mr. Jerico Joshua Kahulugan and Ms. Belen Lim (The Northern Forum), Ms. Analyn Basubas and Ms. Menchie Manuel (DZCV), Mr. Cayetano Tuddao, Jr. (CCTv-8/GMA), Ms. Rhoda Datul (RGMA), Ms. Sarah Malabanan (RBC Cable), and Ms. Florence Tarcina (DWPE Radyo Pilipinas).

The activity began with an agape as the participants interacted with one another. The presentation of SPUP’s engagement and accomplishments, guided by the theme: “SPUP Education 4.0: Deepening, Expansion and Sustainability,” were presented by Dr. Allan Peejay M. Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies). It also highlighted the activities endeavored and projects currently undertaken by SPUP relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A jovial sharing was ensued as the participants walked down the memory lane as pictures of previous press conferences conducted by SPUP were brought to the fore. Moreover, commendations, future plans and exchanges were expressed in a cheerful open forum.

Invitation was also extended to the members of SPUP’s Media Partners to experience and participate SPUP Paskuhan 2019 activities, such as the 4th International Interdisciplinary Research Conference; University Play entitled “Heaven On Earth;” Amusement Rides; University Lights; Cultural Presentations; Musical, Literary, Aesthetics, Sports and Academic Competitions.

The press conference ended with the participants visiting and viewing SPUP’s (Artificial Intelligence) AI-inspired Nativity Scene (Belen).
