August 07, 2023 – St. Paul University Philippines, Department of Science and Technology – Region II, and the City Government of Tuguegarao converged for a collaborative community undertaking. The three institutions are working together for the development and implementation of the Tuguegarao City Tricycle Riders’ Information, Security, and Satisfaction Enhancement (TC-TRISSEA) App Project. Sister Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President, SPUP), Honorable Maila Rosario Ting-Que (City Mayor, Tuguegarao) and Engr. Sylvia Lacambra (Asst. Regional Director, DOST) signed a Memorandum of Undertaking for the realization of the project.

The TC-TRISSEA, a technology-enabled project is pioneered by SPUP’s College of Information Technology. The development of the application is supported by the DOST – Region II and will be implemented through the leadership of the Local Government Unit of Tuguegarao City.

Present in the activity are the members of SPUP Project Team, composed of Dr. Ma. Visitacion Gumabay (Project Lead), Mr. Carlos Babaran, MIT, Mr. Rucelj Pugeda, MIT, Ms. Sheena Gumarang, MIT (Faculty Members, College of Information Technology), Dr. Jesus Pizarro, (Director, Center for Planning, Research, Innovation and New Technologies), Mr. Mariano Lim Cabugos (Head, Tuguegarao City Tricycle Regulation Unit), Police Lieutenant Colonel Richard Gatan (Chief of Tuguegarao City Police) and some technical staff from DOST-Region II.
