St. Paul University Philippines signs Memorandum of Understanding with its Indonesian partner, Universitas Brawijaya, on July 19, 2022 as an extension of the partnership agreement signed three years ago. The ceremonial virtual signing was attended by officials from both universities.

It is notable that SPUP and UB have been actively collaborating with each other in terms of credit transfer student exchange program. SPUP received students from UB even during the pandemic, and they are studying online. Prior to the disruption of physical mobility brough about by the pandemic, UB exchange students studied at the SPUP immersing themselves with the international community in the campus, St. Paul Home (International Student Residence), and for their Related Learning Experience in the hospital and in the partner communities. The inbound exchange students from UB have also actively participated in the intercultural activities of SPUP such as International Students’ Integration Program, International Day of Peace, International Interdisciplinary Research Conference, and Intercultural Presentation, among others. Moreover, SPUP has sent exchange faculty in the field of Nursing to UB in Malang, Indonesia.

The successful implementation of activities in the initial Agreement has ushered the opening of additional programs in health science and graduate studies, as well as research and publication collaboration to further deepen the partnership between the two universities.

Both St. Paul University Philippines and Universitas Brawijaya have been ranked in the 2022 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
