SPUP students secured the 2nd spot for the nationwide search for the 15th Business Idea and Development Awards (BIDA) 2021 for their winning entry, “RabbEATS Processing”. The virtual announcement and recognition were held on October 21, 2021. The members of the winning team were Ms. Ma Visitacion Pinera, Ms. Shanaia Sweet Adduru, Mr. Reynaldo Mallorca, Ms. Divine Suyu, and Ms. Marianne Jean Guerrero, 4th year Accountancy students. Ms. Marjorie Bambalan, CPA, served as their mentor.

The nationwide search was organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and sponsored by PhilExport. It highlighted the innovative business ideas of Filipino students from different Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and is geared towards conceptualizing products, services and technology, concretizing sustainability, and product/service innovations in the country. All submitted entries were subjected to rigorous screening, deliberations, and final presentation.

Potential commercialization awaits the entry of the students as PCCI has organized another program for the strategic partnerships and collaborations of their business plan, which will commence on October 28, 2021.
