St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) and Global Peace Foundation Philippines (GPF Philippines) formalized their partnership through a virtual signing of Memorandum of Agreement on October 07, 2021. The ceremony was led by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President, SPUP) and Mr. Aldrin Nituma (Executive Director, GPF Philippines). Through the collaborative engagement, SPUP became GPF Philippines’ first partner Catholic University in the country and was also inducted in the Global Peace Foundation International community.

As SPUP’s new partner on its advocacy on peace, GPF Philippines is a non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-profit organization that promotes an innovative, values-based approach to peacebuilding, guided by the vision that all human beings are members of One Family under God. The partnership highlights initiatives and activities towards contributing to national and global advances by developing young leaders and transformative educators from all backgrounds of faith, culture, nationality, and ethnicity under common aspirations, principles, and values, working towards the goal of sustainable peace.

Witnessing the event from GPF Philippines were Dir. Ann Marlita M. Arevalo (Director, Education Program) and Dir. Jocelyn F. Remigio (Director, Community Development), and from SPUP, Dr. Allan Peejay M. Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) and Dr. Estrella Y. Yu (Head, Student Affairs).
