As part of the Silver Jubilee of Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) and SPUP’s 114th Founding Anniversary, the University extended the celebration to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Cagayan Provincial Jail (CPJ) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Law Enforcers at the Tuguegarao City Police Station (TCPS), and to the Members of the SPUP-San Jacinto (SPUP-SJ) TODA from May 13 – 15, 2021.
At the CPJ, SPUP was welcomed by Provincial Jail Guards, Mr. James Santos and Mr. Gil Fuggan, on behalf of Mr. Catalino Arugay (Provincial Jail Warden), while at the BJMP Tuguegarao by Chief Inspector Rodolfo Arao (Tuguegarao District Warden).
PLTCOL Jhonalyn Tecbobolan, (Chief of Police, TCPS) and Mr. Reden Caram (President SPUP- SJ TODA) expressed their gratitude for the blessing shared by SPUP.
The “Sharing of Blessings” activity was spearheaded by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) and Sr. Maria Lirio Gavan, SPC (Local Superior/Vice President for Finance) through the assistance of Mr. Hollis Sibal (Head, Christian Formation Outreach Services), Ms. Krishan Soriano (Faculty, College of Nursing), Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies), SPUP Food Services Staff, and SPUP Transport Team.
