SPUP’s Mr. Nelton Jay Tamayo, (HRM 4) was chosen as one of the 10 delegates representing the Philippines in the JENESYS 2018 ASEAN + Timor Leste Youth Leader Exchange Program. The said program was held on March 19-26, 2019, where in the delegates had their learning opportunities in Japan particularly in Tokyo, Hokkaido, Tohoku, Chubu, and Kansai.

Together with the 9 other delegates, Mr. Tamayo immersed in the culture of Japan by exposure to local community areas, local exchange program, industry visitation, home stay experience, and an observation tour in Tokyo.

The JENESYS 2018 fostered people to people exchange program by promoting mutual trust, understanding, friendship and cooperation among the people of Japan and the Asia-Pacific Region. It also aimed to encourage an appreciation of Japan’s economics, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations. The said program was a joint venture of the Philippine National Youth Commission and the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) and the Embassy of Japan in Manila.
