In its aim to reduce the myriad of cases that pertains to road crashes and promote safer roads in Tuguegarao City, Team Pablo launched Project Highway which gained an approval from the Ideas Positive- Unilab Foundation, represented by Mr. Nicolas Arvin Chiong and Mr. Carl Laurance Deala, during the Initial Community Visit last March 2, 2019 at the Office of Student Affairs, St. Paul University Philippines.

The Initial Community Visit is an approach in the form of casual talk with the stakeholders of the project for the purpose of assessing if the team is ready to implement the project, if the community is ready to accept the project and more importantly, if the project is ready to be implemented. Being able to pass this phase marks the project’s journey towards implementation and the provision of the seed money.

The Initial Community Visit was attended by the student-representatives from St. Paul University Philippines, University of St. Louis Tuguegarao, Cagayan State University, and F.L. Vargas College- the team’s partner-Universities. Moreover, officials from the Tugueagarao City Traffic Management Group, headed by Ret. P/SUPT Vincente Blancad, and representatives from the Philippine National Police and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, partake during the discussion of the project.

Having surpassed the cut-off score, Project Highway championed in the initial community visit and henceforth embark its way to enactment in creating safer roads, safer communities, and a safer Tuguegarao.
