SPUP’s Community Development Center Foundation Inc. (CDCFI) was awarded as the Best Non-Government Organization (NGO) for Luzon by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The awarding ceremonies were held for the 68th founding anniversary celebration of DSWD on February 15, 2019 at the Auditorium Land Bank Plaza in Malate, Manila.
The honor confered to SPUP is a recognition from DSWD’s “Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan (PaNata Ko sa Bayan) Awards.” SPUP’s CDCFI was cited for its contribution in improving the lives as well as providing better opportunity for the poor, vulnerable and marginalized sectors of the community.
The institutional recognition was presented by Hon. Rolando Joselito Bautista (DSWD Secretary) and was received by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) and Mrs. Noemi Cabaddu (Director, Community Extension Services).
