In the recently held Division Schools Press Conference, on September 29 and 30, 2018 at the Cagayan National High School, 15 Pauleen Scribes emerged victorious as part of the Top 7 Winners in the various contested events. With a great determination to win coupled with passion and love for journalism, the Paulinian student journalists have secured a place in both English and Filipino individual categories.
In the English Category, Mariane Angeli L. Lubo won 1st and 5th place in Column Writing and Copy and Headline Writing respectively, as Darylle Jake Sariego placed 2nd in Photojournalism, while Tristan King Seminiano garnered 3rd place in the Science and Technology Writing category. Jim Jerico Cedric Uy of Sports Writing and Ma. Alexandra Jayme of Feature Writing both placed 4th in their respective categories. Other winners of the english category are: Lorenzo Agarpao; 5th placer in the Editorial Cartooning Category, Maria Louise Sundae Aquino; 6th place in Editorial Writing Category, and Albert Angelo M. Castro who garnered 7th place in the News Writing Category.
In the Filipino category, Photojournalist Lyndon Gayudan won 2nd place. On the other hand, Christian-Mari Lex Cabulisan of the News Writing Category, Irish V. Palma of the Editorial Cartooning Category, and Jerobie Furagganan of the Editorial Writig Category, all garnered 3rd place in their respective categories. Meanwhile Angel Agcaoili placed 6th in Copy Reading and Headline Writing, and lastly Lyza Jane Tagal placed 7th in Featute Writing.
All Journalists mentioned above will be representing the Division of Tuguegarao in the incoming Regional Schools Pres Conference to be held at the city of Ilagan. They were coached by Mr. Chester Karl Manuel, the adviser of The Pauleen.
