As a Center of Teacher Training in Region 02, St. Paul University Philippines has been identified by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a service provider of teacher trainings in Region 02. Recently, SPUP hosted the School Heads Development Program (SHDP) Foundation Course (Batch 9, Modules 1 and 2) for the Department of Education school heads and aspiring school heads in Region 02 on August 30-September 5, 2018 and September 10-15 at the LRC building.

The training aimed to improve the capacity of school heads and aspirants to manage their schools as well as prepare aspirants to handle the responsibilities of a school head. The program design is anchored on the National-Competency-Based Standards for School Heads.

Plenary sessions were held at the MM Hall while the parallel sessions were conducted at the fourth floor of the LRC building.

About four hundred school heads and aspirants participated in the training. The trainees and facilitators were housed at the St. Paul Home.
