October 6, 2023 – The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recognized St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) as one of the ICONS (Internationalization Champions of Nation Building and Sustainability) awardees among Higher Education Institutions in the country. The recognition ceremonies were spearheaded by CHED – International Affairs Services (IAS) Office and held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.
SPUP is commended by for its initiatives and engagement towards educational sustainability, promotion of ASEAN opportunities, and integration of internationalization in its educational services and programs. It is the only Private University in Region II recognized in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), Times Higher Education (THE), and World University Ranking for Innovation (WURI) rankings.
Dr. Jeremy Godofredo Morales, (Director, Internationalization), together with Dr. Jocelyn Carag (Education Supervisor, CHED Region II), received the award from Atty. Lily Freida Milla (Director, CHED IAS). The event was also graced by Dr. Prospero De Vera (Chairperson, CHED), CHED Commissioners, Regional Directors, University Presidents, and International Relations Officers from the awardee-institution.
SPUP has consistently advanced its performance and visibility in global rankings that measure academic reputation, research and innovation, impact and social values, sustainability and development, and global or international engagement.
