The conclusion of the 12th edition of the Search for the Ten Outstanding Cagayano Youth (TOCY) was held on April 5, 2024 at the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Region II Office with the recognition of winners. Among the exceptional individuals recognized during the event were Mr. Alec Abogado, one of the Top 10 Outstanding Cagayano Youth and Mr. Venn Baldino, a TOCY Top 20 Finalist. They were part of the winning circle out of 96 nominees. They are mentored by Ms. Jane Abella (Activity Chair, BEU-Junior High School).
Both Grade 10 students of BEU – Junior High School, Mr. Abogado and Mr. Baldino have consistently demonstrated their leadership skills and dedication to various endeavors throughout their academic journey. Currently serving as the President of the Paulinian Volunteers for Community Development Club – JHS and the President of the Junior High School Coordinating Team (JHSCT), they exemplify the qualities of a student leader who strives for excellence in all aspects of life.
Aside from their leadership roles, Mr. Abogado and Mr. Baldino also have a passion for journalism. Their eloquence and ability to articulate their thoughts have propelled them to become captivating writers of the truth. They also participated and won in the recently held Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) of Tuguegarao City.
