As part of the commemorative activities for the 2024 Women’s Month, SPUP facilitated a forum on March 13, 2024 echoing the theme: “We Care: #InspireInclusion.” The Paulinian Student Government (PSG) spearheaded the program in collaboration with the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction – Philippines Chapter (WCCIPh) and the SPUP Alumni Association, Inc. (SPUPAA). The forum highlighted the topics on Women’s Protection and Empowerment and Women’s Health and Wellbeing.

The speakers from Tuguegarao City Police Station (TCPS) emphatically talked about relevant topics such as: PCMG Arrne Giray (on RA 9262: Anti-Violence Against Women and Children), PCPT Ismaira Silad (on TCPS Services for Women), and PLT Renalyn Layucan (on Women Empowerment). Moreover, Ms. Janine Paula Oñate from SPUP Guidance and Counselling Center imparted lessons on Women’s Health and Wellbeing. She also facilitated an interactive activity on Fostering Opportunities for Women. Following the discussion and interaction, inquiries were answered, while insights and reflections were also shared. Dr. Teresita Lasam (Director, Student Affairs and Services), Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies), and Mr. Rucelj Pugeda (Head, Office of Student Affairs) led the recognition of the speakers.

Prior to this event, the PSG officers led a “Meet and Greet” event for the International Women’s Day on March 8. Other activities were also slated for the month-long celebration.
