Mr. Sherwin T. Pazzibugan, (Faculty from the College of Nursing) participated in the 2nd International Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Congress organized by Burjeel Holdings in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 9-11, 2023.The three-day conference convened more than 1,200 healthcare providers from 20 different countries across the globe which aimed to foster a culture of empowerment, providing opportunities for skills development, leadership training, mentoring and career advancement in the fields of nursing, midwifery and allied health.

The delegates engaged to state-of-the-art lectures by industry experts and renowned plenary and concurrent speakers unveiling the latest insights and advancement in healthcare settings forging valuable connections and collaborations within the scientific community. During the exhibition and networking, Mr. Pazzibugan took the opportunity to learn the best practices of different universities in UAE offering nursing program in along students’ experiences on clinical rotation.

Before entering the academe, Mr. Pazzibugan is one of the 10 recipients of the 2023 Cherokee Nursing Conference Scholarship for DAISY Awardees (now Healing Hands Conference Scholarship for DAISY Nurses). The grant comes with 2000 USD and an opportunity to choose a nursing conference for overall career development. In 2021, Mr. Pazzibugan was named as the first DAISY Awardee for Extraordinary Nursing Students in the country.
