October 5, 2022 – SPUP’s PATHWAY (Promoting the employability and entrepreneurship of Higher Education graduates through innovative ways in the Philippines) project taskforce spearheaded the conduct of entrepreneurial and employability dialogue between its students and industry partners. Dubbed as 100/20 Industry-Academe partnership orientation, the endeavor is intended to engage at least 100 students and a minimum of 20 entrepreneurs for a consultation session about the current and future demands of various employers and companies.

The program, held virtually, was participated in by about 200 College students across programs and year levels together and 22 industry partners from government line agencies, business industries and private sector. In attendance were from the following partner institutions: Altasco-Bistro, Bangko Montañosa, Cagayan Economic Zone Authority, Department of Education, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry, GMB Travel and Tours, Golden Press, Hack the North PH, Junior Chamber International Philippines, My First Step, NorthTriamTech Inc., Pag-ibig Philippines, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association, Private Export Consultancy, Reckitt Philippines, Sierra Chocolate, TLC IELTS Review Center, Ride Mommy, SPUP Alumni Association, and St. Paul Hospital-Tuguegarao. Aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship culture towards employability of graduates, the session was characterized by a jovial exchange between the representatives of various industries and student-participants.

Lasting for almost four (4) hours, the said undertaking was also an opportune time for students to be mentored by industry practitioners in order to foster and boost SPUP’s enterprise synergies to meet labor market needs.
