May 21, 2021 – To celebrate the 27th Founding Anniversary of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the 1st National Higher Education Day, CHED Region 2 organized a virtual convergence for “A Sharing of Best Practices of HEI’s During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
Three University Presidents were invited to present and discuss the practices of their respective institution. Dr. Esther Susan Perez (University President, UCV) conveyed the “Experiences and Initiatives of the University of Cagayan Valley on Addressing COVID-19 Challenges.” Dr. Ricmar Aquino (University President, ISU) tackled the “Experiences and Initiatives of Isabela State University on Research, Extension, and Linkages.” Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President, SPUP) expounded the “Experiences and Initiatives of St. Paul University Philippines on Internationalization in Higher Education.”
Sr. Merceditas shared the development and various engagement of SPUP relevant to the University’s Internationalization Program amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
On May 19, 2021, SPUP was recognized Third Prize Winner in the 1st Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award. The program was organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in partnership with the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).
