On July 3, 2019, SPUP Community Development Center Foundation Incoporated (SPUPCDCFI) convened the members of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) of the municipalities of Flora and Luna in Apayao to capacitate them in monitoring Children at Risk of Leaving School. The training aimed to broaden BCPC members’ understanding of their roles and functions as duty bearers and to strengthen BCPC member’s skills in engaging with other NGO’s/CSO’s for the promotion, protection, and preservation of the welfare and rights of children.
The resource persons included: Ms. Wilnelia M. Aceret of the DILG Apayao who discussed on the Roles and Responsibilities of BCPC with Functionality Indicator while, SPO3 Gemma Malag, WCPD of Flora, Apayao talked on Proper Handling of Child Protection Issues.
The SPUPCDCFI Staff organized and facilitated the training activity with the guidance of Ms. Cariza Ramos, the Project Manager of the ChildProTECT.
