Dr. Leon Caculitan (Professor, SPUP School of Medicine) was hailed as the 2019 Gawad Geny Lopez, Jr. Bayaning Pilipino National Winner. The awarding ceremonies were held at the Dolphy Theatre, ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City on July 3, 2019.
Dr. Caculitan was recognized for his outstanding community engagement and extraordinary advocacy to work in the service of the Filipino peoole particularly on community healthcare. He was named the Regional Winner of the search early this year.
