SPUP alumni “came home” to their Alma Mater and celebrated the 112th Founding Anniversary of the University. With the theme: “Tatak SPUP: Tibay, Lakas, Ganda at Saya”, the 2019 Homecoming highlighted the following fun-filled activities worthy of celebration.

May 06, 2019 – A simple ceremony for the inauguration of the Art Exhibit of Mr. Voltaire Perez (HS Batch 1978) was held at the 2nd floor Lobby of the Global Center. His artworks featured his artistic ingenuity as the only dry leaf painter in the Philippines. The art exhibition displayed the ranges of subjects from religion, still life, everyday life, animals and portraits.

May 17, 2019 – Each Class and Batch held their reunion and excursion. The said bonding activity fostered an avenue for the alumni to reminisce their memories they shared as their student days in SPUP.

May 18, 2019 – The fellowship celebration began with a motorcade around the city. It was highlighted by the presence of Paul and Pauline (SPUP Official Mascots). The activity rekindled the Paulinian spirit as the alumni gratefully cheered for SPUP.

The homecoming Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by the SPUP Alumni priests: Fr. Bernard Corpuz as main celebrant, Fr. Joel Reyes as homilist and Fr. Benjamin Lasam and Fr. Edgar Baculi as concelebrants.

The morning activities included Batch Picture taking at the Chapel, fellowship breakfast at the Student Center and heritage walk (campus tour).

The Homecoming Fellowship Night dubbed as “Denim Party” was held at the Global Center, Mr. Miguel Lim (Alumni Association President) opened the program through the customary roll call of batches Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) expressed her delight as she welcomed the Alumni to SPUP. The program showcased batch presentations through singing and dancing. The Perkins Twins rendered a song number after which, the Alumni grooved to the tune and music of their generation which brought cheers and applause among the participants. In between was a raffle draw for indoor prizes sponsored by the Jubilarians. The party concluded with a heartful rendition of Paulinian Hymn by the alumni.

The night activities included cocktails, photobooth, and fellowship dinner.

May 19, 2019 – The homecoming 2019 was capped by the Alumni Pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Piat. An agape prepared by the SPUP Alumni of Piat ensued after the spiritual exercise.
