As a member of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Kaisa sa Sining (KSS) Partners in Luzon, SPUP joined the celebration of CCP’s 50th Anniversary and 40th year of its outreach program by participating in a three-day specialized course on the organization and management of touring the arts and cultural productions facilitated by notable experts, art managers and cultural administrators.
Dr. John Kit Masigan and Mr. Jomar Casil, both teachers from the Basic Education Unit represented SPUP in “Touring the Arts” Workshop which was held on May 7-9 at St. Louis University, Baguio.
The CCP-Cultural Exchange Department held series of regional lecture-workshop realizing that there is a need to update and further enhance the skills of artists, cultural workers and managers on tour management as there are a number of opportunities available to perform and showcase in various venues in the Philippines and abroad.
This was the first collaboration of CCP and SPUP as KSS Partners in their continuous pursuit for cultural preservation and performing arts promotion. SPUP is designated by CCP as the Regional Arts Center of Cagayan Valley.
