Having been working in partnership with ChildFund International for its community-based projects in the province of Apayao, SPUP’s Community Development Center hosted the visit of Mr. Federico Diaz-Albertini, Country Director of ChildFund Philippines on November 28-30, 2018.
His team, together with Ms. Cynthia Guerra and Ms. Emma Purog (ChildFund Philippines Officers), conducted an assessment on the recovery efforts and projects implemented by SPUPCDCFI after Typhoon Ompong. The visit included the formal turn-over of repaired Child Development Centers, distribution of learning resource-materials (Klasrum-in-a-box) to the Day Care Centers and Elementary Schools, and provision of medical kits to the Health Centers (Klinik in-a-box) for in the municipalities of Flora and Luna.
The visit was concluded with a dialogue with the members of SPUPCDCFI and a heritage walk in SPUP.
