October 29, 2018 – SPUP joined other institutions in an exhibition of Tuguegarao City’s Heritage. Pictures and artifacts from institutions, family heirloom and individual collections were gathered and displayed showcasing the development of Tuguegarao City. Led by Hon. Claire Callangan (City Councilor), the exhibit displays the anthology of Tuguegaro City’s rich cultural heritage – “TUGUE GARi anna SangAW (Then and Now).”

SPUP, as the pioneer learning institution in Tuguegarao City, was recognized in the heritage display as photos of the “then and now” of the University were also shown. Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President), Sr. Ma. Adelina Portillo, SPC (Director, Research and Publications), Sr. Mary Sarah Manapol, SPC (Faculty Member, Intercultural Institute for Languages) and Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) witnessed the opening ceremonies presided by Hon. Jefferson Soriano (City Mayor).

The said endeavor was organized by the City Government in observance of the 2018 National Indigenous Peoples Month.The heritage presentation will run from October 29 – November 3, 2018 at the Robinsons Place Tuguegarao City.
