SPUP’s Community Extension Services (CES) served as the coordinating body of the Bangon Luzon 2.0 project of the National Association of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines (NAUCP) Inc. The said undertaking aimed to extend assistance to the victims of Typhoon Ompong in Cagayan.

As education is at the center of UNESCO’s advocacy, the primary recipients of the endeavor were: the Aeta Community (in Agugaddan, Peñablanca), Tueg Elementary School (in Bitag Grande, Baggao), and Science Agri-Based Entrepreneurial High School (in San Jose, Baggao). Teachers and students of the said communities received schools supplies and teacher’s kit from the different donors of the project. The NAUCP team was led by Dr. Jonathan Guerrero (President, NAUCP); while, the SPUP community was led by Sr. Marisa Tumbali, SPC (VP for Administration) and Mrs. Noemi Cabaddu (Director, CES).

Through the leadership of Dr. Serafin Arviola Jr. (Chairman, NAUCP), the Philippine Normal University-Center for Partnership and Extension Office (PNU CPEO), PNU UNESCO Club, St. Paul University Philippines, SPUP Community Development Center Foundation Inc., PVCD-UNESCO Club, Teachers for Teachers, Colegio San Agustin-Makati, Junior La Salliana, LGU of Sta. Ana, Manila and PESO-Taguig collaborated to realize the said project.
