December 05, 2016 - SPUP’s Christmas celebration commenced with a tribute to its international partners. Dubbed as International Student’s Day, the celebration was preceded by SPUP signing a Memorandum of Agreement with new international partner-schools namely: Polyteknik Kasehatan Malang, STIKes Ganesha Husada, Akbid Medika Wiyata Kediri (from Indonesia) and Tokushima University (Japan). The second part of the activity featured cultural presentations of international students - from India, Thailand, East Timor, Indonesia, Nigeria, Kenya, Korea and United States of America - who showcased their talents in performing their ethnic songs and cultural dances. Organized by the International Relations Office (IRO), in partnership with Office of Student Affairs (OSA), the event was graced by SPUP Visiting Professors - Dr. Krisana Kraisintu (Thailand), Dr. Tetsuya Tanyoka and Dr. Rozzano Locsin (Japan); SPUP Media Partners; SPC Sisters from Japan and Vietnam; and, from the (SPC) communities of St. Paul Hospital (Tuguegarao), St. Paul College of Pasig and Perpetual Succor Hospital (Cebu). In her welcome message, Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) stressed that the celebration is a manifestation that in SPUP, the students are growing in intercultural competence while the international community in the University is fast rising.
