The Research and Publications Office (RPO) spearheaded the conduct of Faculty and Students Research Forum on March 1, 2017 at the Conference Hall of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Training Center (Global Center). With the theme “Research Ventures and Opportunities across Disciplines,” the said forum was endeavored for the presentation of the scholarly undertakings of students and faculty along the disciplines of social research, pure research and applied research.
Spearheaded by Sr. Ma Adelina J. Portillo, SPC (Director, RPO), the said event fostered an avenue for the exchange of ideas and discoveries and highlighted the contribution of the academe in the knowledge economy. In her opening remarks, Dr. Emolyn M. Iringan, (Asst. to the Director, RPO) underscored that as a University, SPUP is dedicated to research for knowledge to flourish. The forum, comprised of three parallel sessions per discipline, was participated in by students, faculty members and administrators. The morning session was dedicated for the research presentation of students; while the afternoon for the Faculty members. An open forum ensued after all the presentations of each session. Dr. Josephine D. Lorica, (Chair, Ethics Review Committee) formally ended the program by thanking the organizers, facilitators, coordinators, presenters, technical group and visitors who contributed to the success of the program.
