Caritas Christi urget nos!
The Little Light United, a non-profit organization based in California extended outreach services to the students of the Science Agri-Based and Entrepreneurial High School (SABEHS) in Baggao and to the University’s adopted community in Agugaddan, Penablanca through Mr. Sherwin Matammu, a Nursing Alumnus.
Mr. Matammu, a member of the California-based organization, sought the assistance of the College of Nursing in conducting the outreach program to engage deprived children and elderly in meaningful activities in identified underprivileged areas in the Philippines.
Together with the nursing faculty, alumni and students, the service-oriented activity was held on January 25-26, 2017 respectively. As each household received basic provisions as gifts, the organizers also conducted Health Education focused on proper hygiene as members of the community were given hygiene kit and pair of slippers for their use.
Our profound gratitude to The Little Light United through Mr. Sherwin Matammu! May God bless you for your generosity.
