St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) Elementary Department clinched the 1st Place Overall Best Performing Elementary School in the Division of Tuguegarao during this year’s Division Schools Press Conference, marking a historic milestone in campus journalism excellence.
The department’s official publications shone brightly: The Paulinette (English edition) defended its title as Overall Champion for Elementary School Paper, securing 1st Place in News Page and Sports Page, 2nd Place in Feature Page, Science and Technology Page, and Layout & Design, plus 6th in Opinion-Editorial Page.
Meanwhile, Ang Paulinette (Filipino edition) earned 2nd Place Overall, with 1st Place in Balita Page, Lathalain Page, and Agham at Teknolohiya Page, 3rd in Sports and Pag-aanyo/Pagdidisenyo, and 6th in Opinyon Page.
SPUP also grabbed 2nd Place in Overall Group Categories, 4th in Overall Individual Categories, highlighting the students’ talent in news writing, features, opinions, layouts, and more.
Key contributors include advisers Dr. John Kit S. Masigan (recognized as Most Outstanding School Paper Adviser) and Mr. Jomar T. Quizzagan, under Principal Dr. Glenda P. Caronan, with support from Mr. Tee-jay Vinarao.
This triumph reflects teamwork, rigorous training, and the Paulinian spirit of nurturing young, responsible journalists.
