SRCC PARTNERS VALIDATE CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR CAGAYAN COMMUNITIES

December 11, 2025 — St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) hosted the Contingency Plan (CP) Presentation and Validation Workshop of the Start Ready Cagayan Consortium (SRCC) at Mother Madeleine Hall. The activity gathered consortium partners and key stakeholders to strengthen disaster preparedness and response initiatives across Cagayan Province. In her welcome message, Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC, (University President), warmly greeted the participants and shared reflections on the spirit of the Christmas season—highlighting joy, love, peace, and hope—while commending the consortium’s dedication to delivering inclusive, anticipatory, and responsive humanitarian services to the people of Cagayan.
The workshop featured presentations and updates from Humanity & Inclusion, Relief International, SPUP–Community Development Center Foundation, Inc., and Green Meadow Development Foundation, Inc. Representatives from the municipalities of Baggao, Gattaran, and Camalaniugan (BGC), the Camalaniugan Handicapables Association, and key government agencies including the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) actively participated in the discussions, reflecting strong multi-sectoral collaboration.
Participants engaged in plenary sessions, sectoral presentations, and group validation activities to review and enhance the updated Contingency Plan, ensuring its responsiveness to current risks, emerging challenges, and community needs. The workshop concluded with partners reaffirming their shared commitment to sustained collaboration in building safer, more resilient, and better-prepared communities throughout Cagayan Province.
