St. Paul University Philippines conducted an awareness training on ISO 21001:2018 – Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS) for its employees last November 26, 2025, at the Mere Madeline Hall.
Spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office, the activity aimed to orient faculty and staff on the key approaches, frameworks, and terminologies of EOMS based on ISO 21001:2018. Specifically, the session sought to present the basic principles, intents, and requirements of ISO 21001:2018 and equip participants with the knowledge needed to identify relevant requirements for setting up, implementing, and improving a Management System for educational organizations.
In her message, Dr. Juana Rivera emphasized the importance of upholding quality standards that align with St. Paul University Philippines’ identity as an educational institution committed to excellence and service to its learners and other stakeholders.
SPUP currently holds an ISO 21001:2015 QMS certification and is preparing to transition to ISO 21001:2018 EOMS. The updated standard provides a unified management tool for organizations offering educational products and services, ensuring their capacity to meet the requirements of learners and other beneficiaries, which are consistent with SPUP’s mission as a premier educational institution.
