PVCD RECEIVES NATIONAL CITATION FOR ADVOCACY, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

The Paulinian Volunteers for Community Development (PVCD) — Club for UNESCO received a Plaque of Recognition for Special Citation on Advocacy and Youth Leadership for its flagship initiative, Handog Pag-ibig, during the national event “2030 IS NOW: From Where YOUth Lead — Localizing SDGs Now for 2030 and Beyond.” Representing the organization, Mr. Erwin Joley Bello (PVCD President) and Mr. Ivhan Cruz (Vice President for External Affairs) formally accepted the award, highlighting PVCD’s steadfast commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals through youth-driven leadership and community engagement. The event was held at Hotel St. Ellis, Legazpi City, Albay, on November 28–29, 2025.
Handog Pag-ibig, which began as a compassion-centered outreach program, grew into a sustained initiative that addressed various community needs while promoting inclusivity, access to essential resources, and the spirit of service among Paulinian students. The program embodied PVCD’s mission of empowering young people to serve as catalysts for positive change, grounded in the principles of social responsibility and transformative action.
This national recognition affirmed PVCD’s meaningful impact and enduring dedication to fostering sustainable development within and beyond the university. The organization extended its gratitude to its volunteers, partners, and supporters whose collaboration strengthened the success of its advocacies. Guided by faith, compassion, and a vision for a better future, PVCD continued to uphold its commitment to service and youth empowerment.
