Dr. Allan Paulo Blaquera presented his research study, “Development and Validation of a Nurse-coordinated Stroke Home Care Rehabilitation Model,” at the 36th International Nursing Research Congress, held from July 17 to 20, 2025, in Seattle, Washington, USA. The congress, hosted by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, gathered over 1,000 participants from 46 countries, making it one of the most significant global for a for nursing scholarship and collaboration.
With more than 70% of attendees holding doctorate degrees, the congress revolved around the theme “Representing Nursing Globally Through Dissemination of Research and Evidence.” It emphasized the critical role of research in advancing nursing practice, shaping health policy, and addressing global health challenges. The event served as a platform for sharing evidence-based insights and innovations that are shaping the future of healthcare.
Dr. Blaquera’s participation marked a notable contribution to the global exchange of nursing knowledge. His presentation drew interest from fellow nurse researchers, faculty, clinicians, and leaders, fostering academic dialogue and potential collaborations. The experience underscored the importance of representing Philippine nursing research on the international stage and affirmed the value of cross-border engagement in strengthening the discipline worldwide.
