The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) successfully held its 4th Leadership and Management Perspectives (LAMP) SUMMIT 2023 with the theme, “One Size Fits All?? Education Trajectories, Transition, and Transformation” on March 29-30, 2023, through a hybrid mode of delivery: online via zoom platform, and in-person, with the University of Sto. Tomas (UST, Manila) as the main venue and St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan) and Cebu Institute of Technological University (CITU, Cebu City) as the satellite hosts. The summit highlighted three-part panel discussions.

The first panel discussion was done in-person focusing on PQF Updates: How do we implement based on the AQF and Philippine Skills Framework with Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag (Commissioner, Commission on Higher Education), Atty. Cinderella Filipina Benitez-Jaro (Executive Director, Commission on Higher Education), Dr. David Bungallon, (Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning, TESDA), and Dir. Nelly Nita N. Dillera, (Executive Director, DTI-Philippine Trade Training Center) as speakers, and Mr. Marco Alfredo M. Benitez, (President, Philippine Women’s University), as facilitator.

The second panel discussion was conducted on-line and tackled on Framework for Career Path Development: Curriculum Reframing and Innovation with Dr. Wesley Teter (Senior Consultant for Educational Innovation and Skills Development of UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education), Dr. Caroline Steel (Principal Strategic Consultant, Anthology), and Mr. Anderson Tan (Director of Xprienz & Accelebator Singapore) as speakers, and Sr. Merceditas O. Ang, SPC (President, St. Paul University Philippines) as facilitator.

The third panel discussion was held on March 30, 2023, with the topic on Best Practices in Skills and Industry Framework including Transformations in Colleges and Universities with Prof. Vicente Antonio V. Pijano III (Chancellor of Philippine Women’s College Davao), Asst. Prof. Jerralyn T. Padua (Dean of College of Information and Computing Sciences of University of Sto. Tomas), and Dr. Michael John S. Dino (Director for Research, Development, and Innovation Center of Our Lady of Fatima University), as sharers, and Ms. Joyce Samaniego, (Executive Director, PACU) as facilitator.

The two-day conference was participated in by PACU-members schools from all over the country. SPUP, as a satellite venue, hosted four participating institutions from the Cagayan Valley Region. The said activity concluded with a Campus Tour for the participants.
