With the implementation of the PATHWAY (Promoting the employAbility and enTrepreneurship of Higher education graduates through innovative WAYs in the Philippines) Project, the “World of Work Café Activity” – a convergence of Industry and Academe was endeavored on October 14, 2022. Held at the Mayuree Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila, the said undertaking aimed to foster an impactful exchange of ideas between the industry partners and participating Higher Education Institutions for a collaborative engagement towards the promotion of employability and entrepreneurship among graduates.

Together with the participating Higher Education Institutions, about 20 Industry partners from public and private sectors participated in the discussion of strategies to foster and sustain Industry-Academe partnership. They also presented ways forward to address the challenges and gaps relevant to the implementation of such endeavor.

SPUP PATHWAY project team members – Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) and Mrs. Lilibeth Coronel (Consultant, ICT) served as facilitator and rapporteur respectively during the dialogue with industry representatives. The results of the discussion were presented in the plenary. The activity culminated with the acknowledgement of the participants and thanksgiving to the organizer, the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP).
