SPUP’s Paulinian Student Government (PSG) – SASTE took part on the 3-day Leadcamp 2022 con 1st International Youth Summit with the theme “ Student Leaders as champion of culture: Recalibrate, Reconnect, Inspire”; hosted by West Visayas State University, Philippines and Khampaeng Phet Rajabhat University, Thailand held virtually on April 22, 23, and 29, 2022. The Paulinian Delegates were Ms. Krisha Berbano, Ms. Hannah Henrico, Ms. Margaret Dumaua, Ms. Ma. Angelica Perez, Mr. Yowelle Ched Sedano, Mr. Ronnie Ballad, and Mr. Jevy Mark Dupay. The said event included exchanges of dialogue among student leaders from different schools inside and outside the Philippines regarding school and community cultures, responses to global pandemic, training on sustainability, virtual team building activities, as well as academic competitions.

Simultaneously, two Paulinian officers seized recognition during the awarding and closing ceremony on April 29, 2022. Mr. Sedano bagged Champion for the on-the-spot poster making contest portraying the role of student leaders as champions of culture. Meanwhile, Mr. Ballad seized 3rd Runner up in the on-the-spot essay writing contest with his piece “Gearing towards a better school”, where he emphasized the point that schools are where we get to grow holistically.

The leadership camp mainly calls upon student leaders to merge creative ideas and break down barriers in hope of fostering supportive and resilient school and community cultures.
