“Positive attitudes, mutual understanding, and generous cooperation would be important factors towards a more meaningful, fruitful, productive, and sustained partnership and collaboration,” emphasized University President, Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC in her message during the BEU Parents’ Assembly held virtually on October 9, 2021.

Bearing the theme, “Nurturing Partnership and Collaboration to Navigate Opportunities in the New Normal”, the said event was graced by over 400 participants consisting of parents, teachers, and administrators to discuss important matters concerning the educational journey of the students in this flexible learning modality.

BEU Principal Mrs. Glenda Caronan underscored that we are all in this together. “As an academic community, we guarantee the development of learners who are adequately prepared, competent, and resilient with a Paulinian Character,” she added.

The event highlighted the presentation of parent representatives which was followed by the induction of representatives and the core officers of AY 2021-2022.

The grading system, school policies, and learning modalities were also presented by Mrs. Myra Balubal (MAPEH/TLE/Comp. STL), Mrs. Jhonaliza Padilla (JHS Homeroom/Discipline Chair), and Ms. Fredelina Carpio (English/Filipino STL), respectively.

To explain the ESC and SHS Voucher Programs, Mrs. Jothel Fabian-Natividad (PEAC Regional Program Associate) walked the parents through the various opportunities and benefits students can get as grantees.

Such session was followed by the presentation of financial report by Mrs. Mildred Dela Cruz and Mrs. Susan Tabbu, Family Council Treasurer of GS/JHS and SHS-FC Academic Committee Chair, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Family Council President’s report was presented by SHS BEU Family Council President Dr. Angelica Asuncion, topped off by an inspiring message from GS/JHS BEU Family Council President Mrs. Zelda Amarles.

Mrs. Amarles said in her closing statement, “With the health protocols in place and vaccination being done, we are now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hence, we can now claim that we will be having more activities geared towards a more fruitful school year.”
