In celebration of National Teachers’ Month and World Teachers’ Day, Globe spearheaded the FOREFRONT: The 2021 National Conference on Digital Learning on October 1, 2021. Tech leaders, educators, and industry presenters from across the country shared their insights on how to improve learning delivery, online teaching methodologies, and distance education in the academe.

Dr. Roldan C. Bangalan (Chair, University Research Ethics Review Committee), was one of the 18 select researcher-educators, to share his views, experiences, and practices regarding the current learning landscape and the role of technology in transforming quality teaching and learning. With the conference theme, “Transformative Online Pedagogies: Reimagining Education for Better Tomorrows”, Dr. Bangalan presented his paper, “Online Learning Mindset, Mathematics Outlook, and Academic Performance of College Students in a Fully Online Flipped Math Course”. In his research, he concluded that the flipped learning approach can transform classes into dynamic, engaging, interactive, student-centered online learning environment.

The online conference was graced by the presence of technology leaders of different learning management systems like D2L Brightspace LMS, ClassIn, Google for Education, and Microsoft. The event was live-streamed on the Globe Business Facebook page.
