As partner of the Southeast Asian Minister of Education, Organization, Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) for the Joint Graduate Diploma Program (JGDP), St. Paul University Philippines held the official Granting Ceremony for the conferment of the certificates of the course completers from DepEd Region II (Cagayan Valley) on June 30, 2021. The virtual graduation ceremonies highlighted the eligibility of the completers for an International Certificate of Competence under the Gearing Up Responsible and Outstanding Teachers in Southeast Asia for the 21st Century (GURO21) project.

Through the partnership of SPUP and SEAMEO INNOTECH, JGDP graduates of Region II can now enroll in the SPUP Graduate School and avail of credit transfer. Moreover, Dr. Jesus Pizarro, (Director, Center for Planning, Research, Innovation, and New Technologies) and Mrs. Evelyn Pacquing (Program Coordinator, Teacher Education) are members of the pool of Flexible Learning Tutors (FLT) for the delivery of SEAMEO INNOTECH’s programs.

The graduation program also included the messages of Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President, SPUP) and the Presidents of the other partner-institutions of SEAMEO INNOTECH – Atty. Casimiro Jaurez (Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro) and Dr. Lourdes Generalao (University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City), the congratulatory message of Dr. Ramon Bacani (Director, SEAMEO INNOTECH) and the alumni pledge of the graduates.
